This book is called Public School Superhero it’s a fiction book. This book is about this boy named Kenny Wright, in his imagination he is a superhero called Stainlezz Steel. But in reality he is a chess player but everybody in school calls him “grandmas boy”. Kids bully Kenny Wright because he is a chess player and they think he’s a grandmas boy. Kenny’s grandma becomes a big impact at Kenny’s life in so many ways, it’s like his mom. My favorite part is when he talks about him being a superhero because he talked about his powers and what he can do in his imagination. Would you want to become a superhero or did you wish you can become a superhero?

“I think a lot  but I don’t say much”-Anne Frank. This is a famous quote from Anne frank and this book that I read is really sad and gets you thinking. This book talks about the Holocaust and how she lived and how it was like.The two main characters are Anne frank and her sister mostly and her best friend Hannah. This is a biography, means that someone else wrote this book about Anne Frank and Hannah. Anne frank and her family went to go hide and she told all of her friends that they were moving from Switzerland. I do not have a favorite party about the story but the most interesting part is when they talked about Anne Frank’s diary.

   I like this quote because it shows you that nothing is going to be easy. But the second part to the quote shows that you don’t wanna give up. In the quote where it says “worth It absolutely” think to yourself and see if it’s worth it and if your making a good choice and everything that you have done will be worth it at the end and you will be proud of yourself.

The book “Snitch” by Norah McClintock, It was  an interesting book. I finished reading this book, and I didenjoy it In my perspective. It wasn’t like that good where they made me wanna keep reading. The book is about a character named Josh had been living in a group home after being ratted out by Scott, his one-time best friend. Now he has moved in with his brother and overbearing sister-in-law and has been sent to a class designed to teach him to deal with his anger. When an old enemy continues to push his buttons and Scott appears to be up to his old tricks, Josh struggles to control his temper. Framed for a crime he didn't commit, it will take all of his new-found strength to keep his cool--and his freedom.

     In this book “Hakeem” goes through a lot, like moving from his home town Califonia to Detroit because his dad had cancer. They moved out there because his dad could not afford the house that they used to live in. Hakeem is mad at the fact he head to leave his friends, his school, and most of all, his girlfriend that he dated for six months. He also broke up with her so they didnt have to have a long distance relationship. Hakeem thought once he moved to Detroit it would at least be a litle good being that his favorite cousin Savon lived out there. But, the only thing was he had not seen Savon in years and knew they had lost touch with him. When he did arrive Savon did not seem to excited to see Hakeem, it was like he wanted Hakeem to go back home. The only reason Savon didn't want Hakeem around was for the simple fact he knew everybody always said he should be more like Hakeem which got on his nerves. Although moving to Detroit wasn't the best thing in Hakeems eyes, he started to hang out with the girl that lived next door. He liked her but could not stand the fact that his cousin Savon dated her too. Everything turned out fine when Hakeem's dad went to the doctor and they found out he was going to be alright. Although Hakeem did have connections with the girl next door, he knew there was no girl for him but Darcy. 

IF vs Outsiders

I was reading a poem called “IF” and while it was reading the poem IF, it reminding me of the book Outsiders. The poem IF kept on saying words that can describe the Greasers and it can relate to Ponyboy and Dally.
    For example when i was reading the poem the first stanza was “We real cool” I thought of the Greasers because they think they are all cool with here leather jackets there greasy hair and how they are in a group/gang and it can relate to, Two-Bit because he is all cool heartless in the group and strong so i thought like he was the cool one in the group. Second stanza said “We left school” again it reminded me of the Greasers how some of them left school and back when it said “we real cool” the some of the Greasers probably think that they are too cool for school. Third stanza was “We lurk late”  I thought of Ponyboy and Johnny when they ran out to the park at night when the soc came and just in general the Greasers stay out at night. Fourth stanza was kind of sad to me when I thought about this because I thought about Johnny and when he died and he died young so I thought it was sad. Finally, the final stanza said “we strike straight” I thought when the Greasers strike the soc and won.
